Das Raster als Gestaltungsgrundlage ist umstritten. Wer sich damit auseinandersetzen will, braucht nicht zwingend ein Framework, er könnte auch zum Grid-Generator greifen und erhält – mit Einschränkungen – einen WYSIWYG-Modus für den Ausbau seines Grids. Mit den Generatoren lässt sich ohne Installation herumspielen.
